For many seniors who may be thinking about selling their current home, right-sizing or transitioning lifestyles in the near future, just the thought of it can be overwhelming. The equity in their current home is often one of the largest assets they possess. Therefore one will need to be diligent and prudent in protecting one of their most cherished and valuable assets.
When looking for representation most of us would like to be represented by a specialist, consequently when selling your home you would want to consider a Realtor who specializes in Senior Moves. A Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) is recognized by the National Association of Realtors. In order to be recognized and have use of the designation, the designee must have completed special training, pay yearly dues and be recognized as a Realtor member in good standing.
For anyone, selling a home is a major life changing decision; the process can be very complicated and stressful. Unlike other seller clients I represent many of my senior clients have lived in their homes for decades. They need to be gently and patiently guided through today’s complex world of the Real Estate transaction. As an SRES designee I’ve been trained to be sensitive to my senior client’s needs. I’m able to carefully listen and evaluate their individual needs in order to create a successful action plan.
Today’s Real Estate transactions are complex; it takes experience, hard work, communication and attention to every detail. The goal is to sell your home for the most amount of money, in the shortest amount of time with the least amount of complication and stress. Look for an experienced, honest and trusted Realtor who holds the SRES designation. They will serve as a valuable resource to you throughout the home selling and home buying process. Choose carefully …Choose wisely… Choose a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES).
