Exceeding Expectations Since 1924
Ingersoll Place is special. You can hear it in the warm welcome at the reception desk and joyful banter among residents and staff. You can see it in the well-tended facilities and beautiful grounds, the artfully arranged dinner plates and chock-full activities calendar.
What truly makes Ingersoll Place special are the wonderful people who call it home.
Ingersoll Place is a Non-Profit Organization that began as a home for aged men in 1924; as the years progressed, we opened our doors to women who sought a new place to call home. We are comprised of 72 apartments; inclusive of studio, one bedroom and two bedroom layouts, which can by utilized as “companion” living arrangement.
Assisted Living, Independence Plus Skilled Care
Assisted Living at Ingersoll Place offers a best-of-both-worlds lifestyle for older adults who wish to maintain as much independence as possible while having 24 hour a day support from a team of skilled caregivers. There are a total of 57 Assisted Living apartments including studios, one bedroom and companion suite units.
Memory Care, Safe, Personalized Care for our Memory Care Residents
Memory Care at Ingersoll Place is a secure, self-contained wing that allows for safe wandering, social and recreational opportunities and close observation by staff. There are 13 studios and two companion suites housing a maximum of 17 residents.
All Memory Care apartments feature spacious, private bathrooms with walk-in showers and safety rails, emergency pull-cords and personal heating and cooling systems. Apartments are available furnished with a twin bed, dresser, armchair, bedside table and lamp at no additional charge or unfurnished, based on individual needs.
The Memory Care staff undergo ongoing training and support in the management of challenging and sometimes unpredictable behaviors such as agitation and expressions of anxiety. The use of music, games, group activities and daily exercise sessions are incorporated into residents’ daily routines based on their particular areas of interest and abilities. The majority of our Memory Care residents enjoy participation in the full range of Ingersoll’s recreational and social activities.
Respite Care, Temporary Residential Care For Your Loved One
Respite Care is offered with no minimum stay or long term commitment required. It includes all of the services and amenities available to Assisted Living and Memory Care residents and allows family members to take a break from their daily responsibilities of caring for loved ones. It can also be an option for individuals who need temporary assistance with activities of daily living following discharge from a hospital or rehab center.
